Synopsis :

Ma Wei Po is located in Xinping County, Shaanxi Province. In the aftermath of the Anshi Rebellion, Xuanzong made his escape to Chengdu with his court including Yang Guozhong, Yang Guifei and her sisters. Along the road, at Ma Wei Po, the imperial troops believed that the Yangs were responsible for the country's upheaval, so they killed Yang Guozhong and Guifei's sisters. Still unsatisfied, they insisted that Guifei should be killed as well. With the army on the point of mutiny, Xuanzong had no choice but to agree to their demand. Consequently, Guifei was hanged.
