Synopsis :Ep. 7
Zhutong is exiled to Cangzhou. The Cangzhou official-in-charge treats Zhutong well and allows Zhutong to take care of his young son. In the evening of the fifteenth day of the seventh month, Zhutong goes with the official's son to see the river lights. Wuyong and Leiheng come to find Zhutong and try to persuade him to join Liangshan Marsh but without any success. While they are talking, Likui kills the official's son as in accordance to a plan devised by Songjiang's strategists. He then flees, with Zhutong in pursuit after him. Later, they end up in Chaijin's mansion.
Ep. 8
Zhutong agrees to go with Leiheng and Wuyong to the mountain on condition that Likui is not there. Consequently, Likui stays with Chaijin while the other three leave for Liangshan Marsh. A month later, Chaijin learns that his uncle at Gaotangzhou is being bullied by Gaolian's relative, Yin Tianxi, so he goes immediately to his uncle's mansion. Chaijin's uncle dies in his presence due to the wounds caused by Yin Tianxi. Likui, who is with Chaijin, kills Yin Tianxi in a fit of anger.
Ep. 9
Gaolian is so furious that he locks Chaijin up in the prison. Incidentally, Gaolian's cousin is Gaoqiu, a high-ranking but corrupt official in the imperial court. Likui, in the meantime, escapes back to Liangshan Marsh for help. Songjiang later launches an assault on Gaotangzhou to rescue Chaijin but is defeated.
Ep. 10
Songjiang knows that Gaolian uses dark magic to defeat his forces so he asks Wuyong for advice. According to Wuyong, only Gongsun Sheng can break the spell of Gaolian. Taking Wuyong's advice, Songjiang sends Daizong to Jizhou again to seek Gongsun Sheng. Songjiang permits Likui to go with Daizong after the latter agrees to listen to all Daizong's commands and also refrain from eating meat all the way. After setting off, Likui eats meat secretly one night so Daizong makes a fool of him the following day.
