Synopsis :

The Chi Pi or Red Cliffs gains its reputation from events/battles that took place there during the three kingdoms period. The three kingdoms refer to the kingdom of Wei, Shu and Wu. 'Kongming vexes Zhou Yu three times', 'using strategy Kongming borrows arrows from Cao Cao' and 'destroying Cao Cao's chained ships by fire' have grown to become household stories. Also, the Chi Pi is often linked to Kongming, Zhou Yu, Cao Cao, Liu Bei and Sun Quan who were heroes during that period. Till now, remains of the three kingdoms period can still be found around the Chi Pi.
