  • Synopsis :

    The Lui Fong Pagoda is related to the story of Madam White Snake. In the story, a white snake attains the status of an immortal and is bestowed some magical powers. The white snake whose name is Pak Sok Cheng takes a green snake to be her maid servant and names her Siu Cheng. The two visits West Lake in Hangzhou and meets a young man by the name of Hui Sin. Pak and Hui are soon married and runs a medical hall together. One day, a monk Fat Hoi points out to Hui that Pak is actually the manifestation of the white snake and shows him how he can make her reveal her true identity. Hui falls into unconsciousness but is revived by Pak with some magical fungus. Hui is again retained by Fat Hoi at Kum San Temple and Pak calls upon a great flood to rescue Hui. But Pak is with child and about to deliver. Knowing her weakness, Fat Hoi manages to capture and trap her beneath the pagoda.
