Synopsis :

Lee meets his friend Lai, who has just returned from Paris, at a teahouse. Lai proudly shows Lee the lighter which he bought while he was in Paris but has to rush off to meet his girlfriend, Lily, whom he is living off. Lai meets his father and loans the lighter to him. Lily is, in fact, also the mistress of Lai's father and she succeeds in getting Old Lai to give her the lighter. The lighter is in turn given to Lee who lies about using it to pay off his gambling debts when in fact, he presents it as a gift to another woman, Lisa. Lisa shows Lai the lighter which was his to begin with. Lai returns home to asks his father regarding the whereabouts of the lighter. Suspicious of Lily, Old Lai immediately asks for its return from her while Lily asks for it from Lee. Amidst the frenzy, Lee meets an old man who is in possession of the lighter. Unaware that the old man is actually Old Lai, Lee asks him if he would let him have the lighter. Old Lai agrees on condition that the girlfriend whom Lee is referring to pleads with him personally and it was then that he confirms Lily's unfaithfullness.
