  • Synopsis :

Ng Tsek Fuk and his wife stay in cheap housing while they rent their more valuable apartment out to get extra income. Being stingy people, they even got their maid, Ah Choi to queue up for free porridge distributed by a temple to use as feed for the chicken they are rearing. Ng reads in the papers that a women's association will be giving out free milk and suggests that his wife borrow their neighbour, Ah Kan's child so they could get free milk. His wife does as told but having gone through all the trouble, the milk ends up being consumed by the child. Ah Choi meets Ah Kan's wife and tells her how stingy and calculative the Ngs are. Ah Kan and his wife confronts the Ngs when they find out that Mrs Ng was queueing  up for milk with their child. Ng finds a school which does not charge any fees for his son but he must be from a poor family to qualify. They decide to get Ng's nephew, a poor man, to pose as the child's father but later gets into trouble when the school reportsa missing student. It turns out that the Ngs had gone to attend a wedding and decides to stay on for holiday.
