  • Synopsis :

Woo Cheong, Woo Chong Foo's only son dies on his wedding day, leaving behind a widow, Chan Soh Ngan. Cheung Mong Pak, who lives next door grows fond of her and tries to impress her with his prose. He later learns that Chan has passed away after an encounter with a ghost. Mourning her death, he is approached by Mong Dao, a grave robber who wishes to recruit him as an assistant to rob the grave of Chan. Under threat, Cheung agrees. When he discover that Chan is still alive, he brings her home and it is revealed that she had actually choked on an egg. Thinking that she is dead, her father-in-law buries her. Grateful for saving her, Chan wishes to spend her life with Cheung. At this time, Chan's late husband, Woo Cheong's spirit is at the door and accuses Chan of infidelity. Woo summons both Chan's late father, Chan Chong Peng, and his father, Woo Chong Foo, to persuade Chan to return to him. Not wanting her to be a widow for life, both agree to allow her to remarry.
