1. S Rajaratnam speaks at the Annual Luncheon of the Singapore International Chamber of Commerce held at Shangri-la Hotel (on 22/06/1977), where he focuses on 'regional cooperation' within ASEAN.

2. In his speech, before he opens 28th Singapore International Salon of Photography held in conjunction with the 1977 Foto Fair at Victoria Theatre (on 01/07/1977), S Rajaratnam says 'proper function of an exhibition should be not only to inspire but also to create dissatisaction over one's inability to produce' quality exhibits.
