Synopsis :Mr Ee Peng Liang, Honorary Secretary of the Mount Alvernia Hospital Building Fund gives a welcome address in which he explains the founding of the hospital by the Franciscan Sisterhood.
In his speech, the guest-of-honour, Prime Minister Lee Kuan Yew acknowledge the good work done by those who give their time and themselves for community service. PM Lee also touches on how the government is going for a series of medical specialities and the valuable functions of institution such as the Mount Alvernia Hospital. He praises Mr Ee Peng Liang for the good work he has done for charitable causes.
