Synopsis :A spokesman from the 1964 Christmas Fair Organising Committee says that they are greatly honoured that Toh Puan Noor Aishah, wife of the Yang di-Pertuan Negara Yusof Ishak has consented to open the fair. He also thanks all those who worked to produce the fair and is grateful for the army's help in putting up the stalls. In her speech, Toh Puan Noor Aishah says that the stalls in the fair show evidence of great ingenuity. As there is something to attract everyone, she urges those attending the fair to purchase as many items as possible for a good cause. Four charitable organisations will benefit from the proceeds. She then declares the Christmas Fair open.
