Synopsis :

1. Tape contains broadcast version of ceremony recorded off Radio Malaya's Blue Network (English) transmission. 2. Ceremony is first big royal occasion by the Agong; he reviews 3,000 troops from army, navy and airforce of Federation of Malaya and British Commonwealth, and units of public services. Commentator David Kennard brings to listeners scene at Padang including arrival of rulers, Duke of Gloucester and the Agong, historical pieces of troops, decorations and line-up of ceremony. Parade begins with arrival of the Agong, taking the salute and inspecting Guard of Honour. Beginning the parade is flypast salute to the Agong. Parade on ground is continued on next tape.
