Synopsis :This is a recording of Minister of Finance Dr Goh Keng Swee's speech at the Inaugural Meeting of Jurong Town Corporation (JTC) as well as a welcome address by Mr Woon Wah Siang, Chairman of JTC.
In his speech, Dr Goh takes stocks of Singapore's industrial achievements to date. He explains why the Economic Development Board has to pass on the responsibility of managing the Jurong Industrial Estate and other industrial establishments to the JTC. He goes on to elaborate on the function of JTC and the blue print for Jurong.
