  • Synopsis :

    Malaysia Deputy Prime Minister Tun Abdul Razak's address to the people of Singapore about disturbances in the Geylang Seria area is telecast over TV Singapura and broadcast over Radio Channel II (Malay). Tun Razak says he tours the areas of Geylang Serai and Joo Chiat the day he arrives in Singapore. He then talks about:
    1) itinerary of his visit;
    2) recent disturbances in Geylang Serai,
    3) people behind the disturbances and their objectives;
    4) imposition of curfew;
    5) good relationship among the people;
    6) the government's responsibility to ensure peace and security.
