  • Synopsis :

    This is a speech by the Yang di-Pertuan Agong during the first national day of Malaysia. In his speech, His Majesty emphasizes on the importance of solidarity within the nation, especially in the face of the confrontation with Indonesia. He also cites the example of Pontian, Johore as to how citizens should react to the brazen attacks by the Indonesians. He also expresses his heart-felt gratitude to the men defending the nation and his desire to visit Sabah and Sarawak.
