Synopsis :The President of India, Dr Rajendra Prasad, was given a state welcome at the airport on his stopover to Rangoon and Delhi. Greeted by the royal 21-gun salute, he shook hands with the Governor and the Chief Minister Lim Yew Hock. Dr Prasad gave a five-minute speech to a huge crowd of Indian Singaporeans.
