Synopsis :This recording from the 19th General Assembly of the Asia-Pacific Broadcasting Union (ABU) features the announcement and presentation of ABU Prizes for articles that appeared in the ABU Technical Review. The Chairman of the Engineering Committee reports that the technical papers contributed to the ABU Technical Review during the period September 1981 to July 1982 have all been considered. Several papers from members of developing countries have been selected for the awards which include a certificate and a cash prize. The best contribution of the year from the Pakistan Broadcasting Corporation receives $400 and the papers that won commendations, two from All India Radio, and two from Radio and Television Malaysia get $100 each. The winners then receive their awards.
