Synopsis :In this translation of the Malay interview, Dato Temenggong Jugah urges the people in Sarawak to be united in the fight against Sukarno and his Indonesian troops. He chides the cowardice of the Indonesian saboteurs for shying from open war. However, he emphasises the fact that the fight is against Sukarno and his military, not civilian and peace-loving Indonesians. With regards to complaints on slow rural developments, he clarifies that many initiatives have been made and are underway. Besides, not all demands can be fulfilled due to the need for prudent resource allocation.
