  • Synopsis :

    Speaking at the meeting held at St Patrick's are: 1. Jimmy Choo, introducing in English/Hokkien/Malay.  2. Tay Eng Guan, Chairman Citizens' Consultative Committee and Central Goodwill Committee; he explains meeting helps Committees to review present position in Singapore and Malaya and its scope and determination to spread goodwill and understanding among residents of Siglap; he emphasises people of Singapore are wiser after the 2 racial disturbances in 1964, and no other way but to live in peace, practise undertstanding and tolerance. His speech is translated in Malay by Mr Suri, and in Hokkien by Sin Kong.
