  • Synopsis :

Recording is Part 2 of a talk by Alex Josey on 'The Scenes behind the Brunei Revolt'. In this edition, he focuses on 'finding the money' to finance an uprising.  Mr Josey's elaborates on his conversations with the revolt's two main players, Sheikh Azahari, the 'self-proclaimed Prime Minister of the revolutionary government of Kalimantan Utara' and Nicasio Osmena, his lawyer. Both of them are living  in Manila. Mr Josey asks where Azahari gets his money to buy guns, equipment and food for his men. Osmena tells Mr Josey he finances Azahari, pays all his bills as he has a vested interest in the revolt. If Azahari takes over, he will form a corporation to develop Borneo in the 'guided economy' Azahari promises. This Part 2 of the talk is boadcast over Radio Channel I (English). The talk continues in Part 3.
