Synopsis :Singapore Broadcasting Corporation (SBC) presents a musical show in conjunction with its first anniversary at the National Theatre. There are six comperes - Alice Chia, Cecilia Tan, Suharti Ali, Lena Soh, Kala Krishnan and Susan Ng. The concert features artistes from Singapore, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Malaysia, Indonesia and the Philippines. The show opens with SBC dancers and their choreographer, George Pearce and Sam Qan Sextet led by Ahmad Jaafar and Rufino Soliano. The concert continues with: Singapore's Anita Sarawak, 2nd number 'Tak What You Find'; Ding Mercado sings 3 numbers; Marina Xavier, a new face in Singapore's entertainment world; Yusman Kurma, 1980 winner in Malay talentime, and Sri Warna's Children in Tali Bunga Rampai (Malay); Jon Yik (sic), 1st prize winner 1979 Chinese children talentime, TV Chinese children's workshop and Susan Tracy (sic) with 'Freedom' (Mandarin); 1980 Tamil talentime winner and Bala Krishnan dancers; Ann Hussin English talentime 1980 winner, and The Small World Group with 'Inseparable'; Hong Kong Chelbia Chan, actor and singer, with 2 songs - 'Love is Blind' and 'Your Eyes' (Mandarin); Malaysia Yasmin Yusof (Malay) with a traditional children's song and Sri Warna Dancers, a secondd number in English; SBC Dancers in a medley; Indonesia Rina with Mandarin number; Rahimah Rahim with Sri Warna Dancers on 'Sempaya'; SBC Orchestra with 3 numbers from TV shows; 'Kermit' the frog;
Sitompul Sisters, finalists in 1980 English talentime; V Kalikachen (sic) with 'Whatever You Desire' (Tamil); Taiwan Liu Wen Cheng with 'Ah Mei, Ah Mei' and 'Rain in March' (Mandarin). The final number is from Anita Sarawk singing a duet with Ding Mercado.
