  • Synopsis :

    'Lima Negara Satu Tujuan' (Five countries One Goal) is a special programme commemorating the 10th anniversary of ASEAN. It marks the ten years of cooperation between Thailand, the Philippines, Malaysia, Indonesia and Singapore. The founding of ASEAN was doucumented in the Bangkok Declaration, also known as the ASEAN Declaration, on 8th August, 1967.

    This programme looks at the past conferences that are attended by the Foreign Ministers of the five nations. It features some of the policies and treaties that were signed, such as the 1971 Zone of Peace, Freedom and Neutrality Declaration signed on 27th November, 1971, in Kuala Lumpur. It also includes cooperative projects that aim to benefit the economy, such as the oil and airline industry, shipping and tourism.

    The programme features the ASEAN Display Centre and the achievements of the youth and women's group of ASEAN. The aims of ASEAN are also featured in this programme.
