1. Referendum On Merger (00:12:26), telecast on 1st September 1988 - this episode looks at the first and only Referendum which Singapore has carried out, on the issue of merger with Malaya, and recounts the events leading up to Referendum Day on 1st September 1961. 2. National Trades Union Congress (00:11:52), telecast on 6th September 1988 - this episode traces the history of Singapore's labour movement, from its traumatic early years to the present era typified by mutual understanding and cooperation among unionised workers, management and government.
3. Teachers' Training College (00:10:38), telecast on 11th September 1988 - this episode traces the early days of the Teachers' Training College and the evolution of teacher education in Singapore.
4. The Japanese Surrender (00:14:00), telecast on 12th September 1988 - the Japanese surrendered to the British on 12th September 1945, after three years and eight months of occupying Singapore from 1942 to 1945.
