Synopsis :

King Yue of the Zhou kingdom is smitten with the Lady Da Ji and wants her as his consort, he sent out his army to punish Da Ji’s father when the latter resisted. Da Ji has no choice but to concede. King Yue’s incompetence and lecherous ways attracted the attention of Shen Gong Bao, who instigated the fox spirit to enter the body of Da Ji in order to control the king. The kingdom of Zhou is hence thrown into disarray as evil spirits rule the court. The great sage Jiang Zi Ya visited the court of Zhou and feels the presence of evil spirits. Feeling threatened, Da Ji set a trap for Jiang Zi Ya and the latter narrowly escapes. He is soon enlisted by the King of Western Zhou and the kingdom prospered with his help. King Yue wants to conquer Western Zhou and Jiang Zi Ya gathered his disciples to prepare for war against the perpetrators. This is a much-loved Chinese fable about the good overcoming the evil.
