Medanese actress & singer (often described as Javanese) who was hugely popular throughout Southeast Asia (and beyond). She visited Singapore many times but recorded only in Batavia. However, her recordings sold well in Singapore and she was a very influential artist in the kronchong genre and also appeared in Singapore in 1930, 1933 & 1938.
