Two Japanese documentary films Marē Senki: Shonanto tanjo and Marē Senki: Shingeki no kiroku were acquired from Toho Corporation Ltd. The films record the Japanese invasion of Malaya and Singapore during World War II, the British surrender of Singapore and the birth of Shonanto, the name given to Singapore when it came under the Japanese Occupation in February 1942.
