Minister for Culture and Social Affairs Othman Wok welcomes contributions from businesses and organisations to the Singapore Grand Prix 1966. This is the first Grand Prix in Singapore since the country gained independence in 1965. Representatives from nine donor organisations make presentations and say a few words.
Minister for Culture and Social Affairs Othman Wok addresses members of the 1967 Grand Prix Committee, stressing that it is one of the most important national sports events in Singapore. He hopes that the 1967 Grand Prix will stimulate more local competitive interest, attract more foreign competitors, provide better facilities to competitors and spectators and intensify the climate of community participation especially from the business community.
