The hydrographic chart, surveyed by J W Reed and others, 1864-1891, with corrections made up to 1906, is Admiralty Chart No 1995 showing soundings in fathoms in the sea off Singapore Town, from Tanjong Katong to Blakang Mati Island (Sentosa) and West St John (St John's) Island and around it and other islands in the vicinity, submarine contours, coral dries, reefs uncovered at 2/3 ebb, shoals, roads, rivers, mangrove swamps, buildings, hill hachures, spot heights in feet, place names, Keppel Harbour, Borneo Wharf, Colonial Government Wharves, Victoria Dock, Albert Dock, proposed dock, Johnston's Pier, Fort Canning with LLoyds signal station, Mount Sophia, Pearl's Hill, General Hospital, New Criminal (Outram) Prison, Town Hall, Supreme Courts, Church (St Andrew's Cathedral), (Raffles) Institution, Government House, Singapore Government Railway and station at Tank Road, with proposed extension to Keppel Road, Singapore River, Kallang River, Geylang River, Pulo Gaylang, Telok Blangah Road, Neil Road, South Bridge Road, Beach Road, River Valley Road, Stamford Road, Bras Basah Road, Middle Road, Jalan Sultan, Orchard Road, Tan Kim Seng Road, and others.
