Food Control Reports
Staffing required to manage food sales, deliveries and disbursement of salaries. Reports on Japanese godowns containing salt, sugar and rice. The godowns were lining the Singapore river at Havelock Road, Outram and Magazine Road, and Issues with distribution of rations.Security for the various stores. Rice was then sold for 10 cents per katty.Meat was sold in the black market when the Japanese were in power. Days before the arrival of the British, all livestock in farms that the Japanese had commandeered for milk were slaughtered. Copies of pages from a book on Food Control.
