Synopsis :This programme examines the concept of 'Marifat Quotient' or MQ. 'Intelligence Quotient' or IQ measures the intellectual or rational intelligence of a person.'Emotional Quotient' or EQ relates to feelings, empathy, compassion and the ability to respond skilfully to pleasure or pain. A new dimension to human intelligence called 'Spiritual Quotient' or SQ, developed by two authors Dana Zohar and Ian Marshall measures the intelligence that determines how human beings find happiness and fulfilment in life. Research on the 'Spiritual Quotient' has led to the identification of 'God-spots' in the human brain which are neural areas that light up in brain scans when spritual topics are discussed. While God-spots control religious belief, they don't prove the existence of God. In the programme, Dr Abdul Munir Mulkan from Universitas Islam Negeri Sunan Kalijaga Yogyakarta explains the concept of 'Marifat Quotient' which stems from the belief in the existence of God. He explains the rationale behind 'Marifat Quotient' and refers to studies done on the subject at the Oneness University in Chennai, India.
