Synopsis :

In the first part of the recording, Mr H.N Ridley gives a brief history of the rubber cultivation industry. He mentions how the  rubber tree found its way to this region and also the initial stages of its industry. He also describes the current state of the industry. This is followed by a feature on the floods that occurred in Singapore and Malayan states such as Malacca and Kuala Lumpur. Interviews with victims and relief workers are included in this recording.
