Synopsis :A video recording of the Cantonese variety show "Enjoy Youself Tonight"
which features 2 short clips on Singapore. The first clip shows the TV host narrating the origins of Thaipusam; the rites and ceremonies relating to the event; scenes of Hindu devotees with their bodies pierced; dancing and music outside temple; procession of devotees carrying kavadis; busy bazaars; local foods and fruits; outdoor eating places; interviewing a transvestite at home on her lifestyle after operation.
The second clip features the Singapore International Kite Festival held in 1984 with participants from more than 20 countries in Europe, America and Asia - participants getting ready with their elaborate kites; marching band; releasing of balloons to launch the start of the competition; participants flying colourful, ornamental kites; showcase of vintage airplanes; exhibition of model planes and helicoptors.
